Frequently asked questions

Common questions

If you’re thinking about booking a clean but want to check a few details first, you’re not alone. Here are some of the most common questions we’re asked. If what you’re looking for isn’t answered here, please get in touch with us via the above form.

Can I choose exactly what gets cleaned each time?

Yes, absolutely. We don’t use a fixed checklist unless you want one. Every home is different, so we prefer to ask what matters to you. Some people want a full top-to-bottom clean every visit, while others just need help with the bits they don’t have time for. You can be as specific as you like — whether that’s focusing on the bathroom and kitchen one week, or tackling dust and windows the next.

We’ll take note of your preferences and stick to them, and you can update them at any time. If you’re unsure where to start, we’re happy to suggest a practical plan based on your home layout and routine.

No — we offer one-off cleans, regular cleans, and everything in between. Some people book us weekly or fortnightly, others just reach out when things get on top of them. There’s no minimum contract or commitment.

If you do want to set up a regular schedule, we’ll agree on the frequency, day, and time that works best for you, and you can pause or change it whenever needed. Whether you’re after a one-off deep clean, end-of-lease support, or a long-term cleaning arrangement, we’ll work around what makes sense for you.

In most cases, no inspection is needed — we can usually get started based on a quick chat over the phone or via email. If you have a specific situation (like a large-scale deep clean or a home that hasn’t been cleaned in a long time), we may offer to come and have a look first so we can give you a realistic time estimate.

But for most standard bookings, we’ll ask you a few questions upfront — what you want cleaned, how often, and any access info — and that’s usually enough to get started. There’s no pressure to commit, and no charge for the initial enquiry.

No — we bring everything we need, including products and equipment. Our supplies are high-quality and effective, and we keep them clean and well-maintained between jobs. That said, if you have your own products you’d prefer we use (especially if you’re sensitive to certain ingredients or follow a low-tox lifestyle), we’re happy to use them instead.

Just let us know in advance and make them easily accessible for the cleaner on the day.

That depends on the size of your home, how detailed the clean is, and whether it’s a regular visit or a deep clean. For example, a routine weekly clean might take 1.5 to 2 hours, while a deep clean or move-in clean could take 3 to 4 hours or longer. When you book, we’ll ask for a few details and give you an estimate based on that. If it’s your first clean, we usually allow extra time so we can do a proper job and note your preferences. We never rush — we’d rather stay a bit longer and get it right than cut corners.

We’re very used to working in homes with pets, and we’re happy to clean around them — as long as they’re friendly and safe to be around. Let us know in advance if you have pets and whether they’ll be free in the house or kept in a separate area.

If your pet tends to get anxious around new people or vacuum noise, we can work in other parts of the house first or arrange access when you’re home. We can also clean pet hair and mess as part of your routine clean — just let us know what you need.

We’re pet-aware and happy to work around your furry family members.
